About the Author
After overhearing her sister commended for reading the Bible half an hour each day,
Sydney decided to read it twice that long.  Her motives were hardly admirable, but the
decision has made all the difference in her life.

Romantic at heart, her goal is to tell compelling, character driven  stories that
provoke thought as they entertain, encouraging the reader toward a deeper
knowledge of themselves and their Creator.   Whether she has achieved her goal is
for the reader to decide.

Ms. Betts currently resides in Florida with her protagonist-inspiring husband and two
delightful children.  When not engaged in writing, she spends most of her time home-
schooling, mentoring or leading Women's Bible studies at Palm Harbor Community
Church, painting, and speaking with women's groups.
While single, Ms. Betts (B.S. Bible/Missiology, M. Ed.) was involved in a variety of cross-cultural missions in
North and Central  America.  After marriage, her husband and she lived in Europe and the Middle East where
he served in various missions-support capacities.  Her teaching  experiences span preschool to guest lecturing
at the graduate level and she has been privileged to serve various Evangelical denominations as Sunday
School Superintendent,    Children’s Church Director, Mentor, or Women’s Ministries facilitator.

A River too Deep, is her premiere novel.  Currently, she is writing a sequel.  Previously, she has ghost written
for an adult literacy program.
